Injection molding a part with dimensions of 0.175" x 14" x 16" is an extremely challenging task, but we decided to take it on. The part was molded using a single cavity mold with a single injection gate. Initially, we worked with universities and innovation hubs to develop a prototype and CAD drawings but progress was slow due to equipment limitations and a lack of real-world product development expertise. Manufacturing at scale posed additional challenges—design flexibility was minimal, mold costs were prohibitively high, and small production runs were not feasible. As a small company launching an unproven product in an untested market, these obstacles made the process daunting and uncertain.

Our breakthrough came when we discovered Omachron, a company claiming to offer a new, highly efficient plastic injection technology that significantly reduced upfront time and investment. Skeptical but hopeful, we reached out and, within hours, received a preliminary production plan with cost estimates and a scheduled meeting with their team. That single call covered more practical ground than months of previous efforts, addressing manufacturing options, material choices, packaging, and go-to-market strategies. Just six weeks later—at a fraction of the expected cost—we had a finished prototype, a refined mold, completed product testing, and a small production run. This rapid turnaround seemed impossible just weeks before, and it underscored the immense value of working with experienced, innovative partners like Omachron.
