Today is National Inventor's Day in the US and we would like to take this day to highlight the importance of inventiveness and creativity.
The date this day is celebrated on varies by nation. In the United States, this day falls on the the birthday of Thomas A. Edison, one of the greatest and most famous inventors of all time. While we are Canadians, we felt the importance of joining the celebrations of this particular day.
Canadians are inventive in nature, and Canada is/was the home to many famous inventors for whom we can credit inventions that we couldn't imagine our lives without. For example, Alexander Graham Bell had his original Telephone patent issued way back in 1876, while Ginger Ale was invented by pharmacist John McLaughlin in 1907.
